The Vantage Markets swap-free account, read from Malaysia
A swap-free account removes one specific charge. It does not settle whether margin CFD trading is acceptable in the first place — and in Malaysia that question has its own address.
Open an FxPro account →The Vantage Markets Swap Free account replaces overnight swap charges with an administration fee that is deducted from the account balance. On the broker's own Swap Free account page, read on 15 September 2026, it is quoted from 0.0 pips and takes the same $50 minimum deposit as the Cent, Standard STP and RAW ECN lines; spreads are variable, so that figure is a published starting point rather than a measured one. The broker describes the line as intended for traders whose beliefs prohibit paying or receiving swaps.
How the swap-free account reads from Malaysia
A swap-free account is a product setting, not a ruling, and in Malaysia those two things have different addresses. The broker can remove an interest charge from an account. Whether a leveraged contract for difference is acceptable in the first place is a separate question, and it is not one a broker — or this site — is in a position to answer.
- The swap — the interest credited or debited on a position held past the daily rollover — is removed and an administration fee is applied to those positions instead.
- The broker publishes this line from 0.0 pips with an entry deposit of $50, the same as Cent, Standard STP and RAW ECN (broker's Swap Free account page, read 15 September 2026); spreads are variable.
- The broker describes the account as intended for traders whose beliefs prohibit paying or receiving swaps.
- The eligible instrument list is set by the broker and can change, so the instrument specification in MT4 or MT5 is the thing to check before holding a position overnight.
- Margin mechanics are unchanged: the published margin call at 50% and stop out at 20% apply exactly as on a swap-bearing account.

What is removed from a swap-free account, and what stays
One charge is removed: the swap, the interest credited or debited when a position is held past the daily rollover. In its place the broker applies an administration fee to those positions, deducted from the account balance.
Everything else stays. The spread stays: the broker publishes this line from 0.0 pips on its own Swap Free account page, read on 15 September 2026, and spreads are variable. Commission stays on the lines that charge it. The entry deposit is the same $50 as Cent, Standard STP and RAW ECN. Margin call at 50% and stop out at 20% apply as they do on a swap-bearing account.
The broker describes the line as intended for traders whose beliefs prohibit paying or receiving swaps. That is a description of purpose, not a certification of the product.
What does not change is the margin mechanics of the position, and the account still sits with an offshore entity — the one the Investor Alert List of the Securities Commission Malaysia has on record.
The administration fee, and when it costs more than a swap
Traders often expect the swap-free account to be cheaper. It is a different account, not a discounted one, and on longer holds it can be the more expensive of the two.
The reason is asymmetry. A swap moves in both directions: on one side of a trade it is charged, on the other it can be credited. An administration fee only ever moves one way — out of the balance. A position held for weeks accumulates that fee every night with nothing on the other side of the ledger.
The broker publishes the fee on its own Swap Free account page — read on 15 September 2026 — and can change it, so the figure to work with is the one on that page today rather than a remembered one. For a position you plan to hold overnight repeatedly, work the cost through the calculator before assuming the swap-free line saves money.
Swap Free against the other account lines
On entry cost the line is unremarkable: $50, the same as Cent, Standard STP and RAW ECN, against $10,000 on PRO ECN. On spread the broker publishes this line from 0.0 pips, matching Cent, RAW ECN and PRO ECN, while Standard STP starts at 1.0 pips with $0 commission — account terms read on 15 September 2026, and spreads are variable.
What the swap-free setting itself changes is exactly one thing: the overnight charge becomes an administration fee instead of a swap. It does not level the rest of the range — Standard STP is published from 1.0 pips, RAW ECN adds $3.00 per standard lot per side and PRO ECN $1.50 (account terms read on 15 September 2026) — so choosing this line for any reason other than the overnight charge means paying attention to the wrong column.
One more check belongs here: the broker sets which instruments qualify for swap-free treatment and can change the list. The instrument specification inside MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 is where to confirm it before holding a position overnight, rather than assuming every symbol is covered.
Who rules on this in Malaysia
Removing interest from an account is something a broker can do. Ruling on whether a leveraged contract for difference is permissible is not, and neither is it something this site does.
In Malaysia that judgement belongs to qualified religious authority. The Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission Malaysia is the body that rules on the Shariah status of capital market products locally, and individual scholars advise on personal circumstances. Its rulings cover products offered under Malaysian licences — and Vantage Markets is not one of those: the same Securities Commission lists the brand on its Investor Alert List under a 2021 entry, checked on 15 September 2026.
The wider framework this account gestures at is Islamic finance; the removal of an interest charge is one condition inside it, not the whole of it.
So a swap-free label from an offshore broker is a product feature. It is not a certification, it is not a ruling, and the two should not be read as the same thing.
